Nature's most versatile supplement
Pycnogenol is extracted from the bark of pine trees grown exclusively in Les Landes de Gascogne, an unspoiled and sustainable forest in south-west France.
The forest is unspoiled and natural, with no pesticides, no herbicides. Pinus pinaster (Pycnogenol) is not subject to seasonal variations, unlike other plants, which makes it an ideal botanical source.
Pycnogenol is made by extracting the outer bark of the pine which is then standardised to a 65% content of the active plant substances known as procyanidins. Pycnogenol naturally contains a wide range of plant compounds with beneficial properties, including catechin, epicatechin, flavones and taxifolin.
The wide range of compounds in Pychogenol are responsible for a number of health benefits including
Protecting our cells from oxidative stress and damage
Contributing to healthy blood circulation throughout the body.
Pycnogenol has been featured in more than 450 studies covering a wide range of health topics including
Hay Fever
Skin condition
Joint care
Eye health
Respiratory health
Mood and mental performance
Prostate health
Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and jet lag.
